‘The Only One Alive’ is the brand new single from Revelino and is taken from the bonus 12” yellow vinyl EP which accompanies their remastered debut album.
During the process of remastering the album & putting a new archival website together, the band decided to remix ‘Happiness is Mine’ and discovered 2 other songs on the original 1-inch master tape including ‘Ennio’, an instrumental tribute to Ennio Morricone who was a big influence on the band. They trawled though the vaults & found 3 other unreleased songs to complete the bonus EP. ‘The Only One Alive’ was found on a cassette tape from 1998 and the band were blown away by what they discovered. At the time they didn’t think it suited the tone of the final album and are now delighted to release it as the follow up single to the remixed Happiness Is Mine. The new video has been edited by their good friend Michelle Spillane (who directed four of their original videos) and features camcorder footage of one of their final recording sessions in Sun Studios Dublin in 1998 plus live footage from 1996.
